From the founder
I watched teammates go through brutal cuts with zero support — crash diets, dehydration spirals, coaches guessing at nutrition. There had to be a better way.
MakeWeightAI started as a tool I wished existed. Evidence-based, free for every athlete, and designed to flag the cuts that go too far before someone gets hurt.
Our mission
Makeweight.ai was born out of a need to challenge a culture where harmful weight-cutting practices are normalized and support is unevenly distributed. Our mission is to empower athletes with accessible, trustworthy guidance that prioritizes health, dignity, and sustainable performance.
Approach
Flags aggressive cuts
Refuses to build unsafe plans and offers an adjusted target instead.
Includes recovery nutrition
Every plan ends with a structured refeed so you step onto the mat fuelled.
Educational, not prescriptive
Plans are guidance, not medical advice. Work with a coach for elite competition.
